How to say Motivation in German.
I am doing a presentation in my German class and I want to have a slide where I talk about my motivations for the topic. How do I say Motivation? I saw in some dictionaries that it is the same as in English and I saw that it could be Motivierung and even Begründung. What should I use for the title of the slide?

Well, it's correct that Motivation ist the "translation" of "motivation".
In this case though (if you're talking about a slide where you explain why you chose this topic) I'd rather use "Begründung" (maybe "Begründung der Themenwahl" - that would be a statement explaining your choice of topic).
I can't realms explain it though, "Motivation" just doesn't seem to fit the context. It sound a bit too "overwhelmed" and too positive for a school presentation.

I would put "Ursachen" instead, because you are going to talk about the causes (sources or reasons) why you want to talk about this.

I would rather use 'Gründe', for instance, die Gründe, warum ich dieses Thema ausgewählt habe, ....
