Tutor de la comunidadWhat's the meaning of Cliche?
I'm watching "Fate of Furious" and came up with a dialogue "Such a cliche".
What does it means? I looked up dictionary and didn't understand the meaning given there either.

Hi "Cliché" means something that is predictable (and cheesy). For example when you give your girlfriend flowers and chocolates on Valentine's Day, that is a Cliché because they are the most common gifts for that day. Also when you're watching a movie and the main actor rescues the beautiful girl and they kissing at the end of the movie.. It's a Cliché because it always happens.
I'm sorry for my bad English but I hope to help you.

A cliche' is an expression or (or sometimes an action) used, or over used. It is not an original idea and it is an expected response.

A cliche is something that is overused and said so often that it has lost all its originality. An example of a cliche is "Don't judge a book by its cover". You can also use "cliche" to describe a person. For instance, a type of character in a movie that appears often, like the reluctant hero (Bilbo Baggins) or the Chosen One (Harry Potter, could be described as a cliche character.

A cliche is a type of phrase that is usually based on real events, but it is used too much and is very predictable and unoriginal.
