What is the difference? What is the difference between: 渇いて and 乾いて Meaning "dry" I know you can say 喉が渇いています to mean "being thirsty" using the 渇いて but can you also use 乾いて?

"乾く" is dry. "渇く" is thirsty. "乾く" means only the state change from moist(wetty) to dry. But "渇く" means not only the state change from moist to thirsty , but also the desire to return to the original state. For example "乾燥" ⇒only the state change from moist(wetty) to dry. "渇望" ⇒I don't have something. So I want it very much.

You are right. 乾いて is dry. 渇いて is thirsty. You can't use 乾いて as thirsty.
