Lift/elevator, get in/enter, get off/get out Hello, everyone! Could you, please, help me? Which variants are correct and more common for you? 1) Let's take the elevator/lift. Let's call the elevator/lift. Let's ride the elevator/lift. Is there is some difference between elevator and lift? 2) when the elevator has arrived: Let's get in! Let's enter it! 3) when the elevator has arrived at the wanted/needed floor: Let's get off the elevator! Let's get out of the elevator! If there are some grammar mistakes, could you, please, also correct them? Thank you very much!

QUESTION 1: Lift = British ... Elevator = American QUESTION 2: I would say Let's get in. Enter is not wrong, but it is a bit formal for that scenario QUESTION 3: For me, either.

Numbers two and three are unnecessary. We all know what to do when the elevator arrives. Was this a test question? Very odd if it was.
