Why and when do you use "yet" in affermative phrases? I've always thought "yet" can be used only in negative sentences and questions but it came up it can also be used in the affermative ones. Can you explain and make some examples? Thanks in advance!

We almost always use it negative and interrogative forms (Questions) Michael is right in that we can use it with 'Yet another' ... also 'Yet more'

Yet is usually used in a negative or interrogative sentence. It's already noon and they have not arrived yet. You haven't settled that issue yet? He ate yet another cake. (stressing that he ate more cake)
