아득바득 = tooth and nail (adverbial phrase). 아득바득 describes the way someone does something (working, arguing, etc) fiercely or desperately using every drop of one's strength. E.g. 3년 동안 그 회사에서 아득바득 일했다 = I worked tooth and nail for three years in that company.
