Is it proper to say " I hope you got home alright"?
If there is a snow storm and you want to make sure your friend got home safe, is it proper to say " I hope you got home alright"?

If your friend is still at your place and they are about to leave for home. You will say "Drive safely" or "I hope you get home alright." "I hope you get home safely" or even "Let me know once you are safely home" any of those will be acceptable and show that you care about their safety.

Hey Raimon,
It depends on the context. For instance: if your friend is still at your place (apartment or house) and he/she is about to leave for home, then you may use either the future form or the present simple, like: ''I hope you will get home alright.'' or ''I hope you get home alright.'' However, if your friend has already left for home, and you want to express that she/he may have arrived home safely, you would say: ''I hope he/she got home alright.''
Hope that helps!!!
