The wording sounds okay, but I'm not sure...
Hello,
What came to mind was the following:
After having had given it some thought, etc...
Is this correct? Or should I say:
After having thought about/of it, etc...
The below sounds off to me:
After having given it some thought, etc...
Wanting to stick with the past tense, which one(s) would be correct? Perhaps there are better options?

You are well on your way toward fluency when you recognize when something sounds off.
I would agree with Kyle on the correction. Great work. Keep practicing. You'll get there!

It would technically be correct to say "after having given it some thought" but I would probably say "after giving it some thought".
