When I have been learning languages I've found that listening to anything helps. Even if you don't understand I think you eventually begin to pick out words and get used to the tones of the language. Then, if you are practising speaking and writing, eventually you will start to hear whole phrases in the audio. One day you'll realise that you actually understand most of what people are saying. For English I would recommend talk radio stations like BBC radio 5 Live. There are also lots of podcasts available in English - find one about a subject that you like. You can also watch movies or shows with subtitles - so you can follow the audio.

Listen to some English songs first. Trust me I have listened to English songs for years. It really do contribute to me. Now I can watch movies without subtitles .You should master listening speaking , reading and writing. Speaking and writing are so crucial productive skills. The problem for Chinese to learn English is that our skills are not so proficient. We hvae to be in real situations to learn. Subscribe newsletty, listen to some English program, choose the fittest book or reading comprehension . But don't be shy to talk and use it . Typying is also a great way to communicate. Although it is slow, it would be much more well organized by your own words. For native speakers , their speed in English is faster than we are. I share my pragmatic learning experience with. It will work for you. But the ability to memorize words is needed. Once I memorized almost 1000 words in 3 hours that is for my test. And some words I don't even know how to spell , but it works perfect in reading comprehension. Good luck! But learning a language is not like a childish game, some words and sentences are taken seriously to perceive which is called language sense(LS). It is like your age, the longer you pick it up, the better you benefit from the learning process .

1) Use special courses 2) Use some good YouTube channels where people speak English without using fast speech 3) Watch movies with transcripts (subtitles) 4) Try to find music you like and see lyrics to it, then start to sing with a singer - that's how you'll understand what does he/she sing Hope I helped you. Good luck 😉
