What is the difference between " some sort of" and " of some sort"?
It seems to me both have the same meaning. However, I would appreciate if I can get a tip from a native speaker to master it.

They do have the same meaning and could be interchanged in many circumstances. There could be a very slight difference in emphasis.
My sister is happy with her new boyfriend’s career.
He is a doctor of some sort. (She’s happy to be with a doctor, but I don’t know what his specialty is)
He is some sort of doctor. (OK, similar, but sounds a little less respectful of the occupation)

maybe that we state the likelihood between 2 things (or whatever u are referring to) after "some sort of" and before "of some sort".
