Why is this a question only for women? French dressing was described by Marie-Hélène. It can include a number of ingredients added to the oil and vinegar. Sometimes, it looks yellow, other times orange. Italian dressing: oil, vinegar, Italian spices (oregano, dried peppers, etc.) Blue cheese dressing: sour cream, mayonnaise, blue cheese (cheese with a cultured blue mold growing in it) and spices Ranch dressing: sour cream, mayonnaise, spices (parsley, dill, garlic, onion, etc.) Blue cheese dressing and Ranch dressing are similar, except that blue cheese dressing has ... blue cheese added! French and Italian dressings are similar, because they are oil-based dressings, not cream based dressings.
