What's the difference between " charity work" and "charitable act"? Hello. I wonder whether there's any difference between these two, regarding their meaning, their grammar, being countable/uncountable, etc. I'd kindly appreciate if you explain it to me.

Charitable work is usually volunteer work, and a charitable act is an act of kindness.

Hi Fatemeh, the difference is that 'charity work' is speaking generally and is uncountable, whereas 'a charitable act' is countable and speaks of one specific action. For example: "I'm going to Thailand to do some charity work" or "The politician did one final charitable act before he retired". I hope this helps! Finn
