How to understand the "present on+noun"? ---"She presented on that research at the meeting."
1. I shorten the original sentence into "She presented on that research at the meeting."
-
the Original sentence in the text: She and her undergraduate students presented on that research at the 2019 Experimental Biology meeting in Orlando.
-
2. source from 60-SECOND SCIENCE(need to click "Full Transcript")
https://www.scientificamerican.com/podcast/episode/whitening-strips-alter-proteins-in-teeth/
-
3. My concern is if "present" is a transitive verb, "the Object" should not be 'the preposition phrase' like 'on that research'.
For me, It will be better if it comes to "She presented that on the research"
-
4. found from an online dictionary:
usage 1. on the research.
usage 2. present (transitive verb.) :
(intransitive verb) :(the meaning couldn't fit in the context.)
5. Any tips or suggestions are all welcomed.
If there is anything wrong in my opinion or understanding, please help to correct it. Thank you for your attention.

Dear @J. Ríos Thank you for your explanation.
Since I can't find any definition in any dictionaries which say: "PRESENT can be used as an intransitive verb and with the usage of "present on something".
it will be helpful, If I could find a source to refer to, if not, still appreciate your contribution. Thank you.
