朝着 face towards, facing 向 = towards

朝着：facing; advancing (towards) 向：Indicates the direction of the action 向东走 / Facing, especially the face or front (as opposed to 背) 面向讲台

They can be the same with the meaning of towards. Here are some differences. e.g. 1. I should learn from u. 我应该向你学习 向 can be ’from‘. 2. I want to apologize to u. 我想向你道歉。 向 can be ’to‘.
