A Chairil Anwar quotation.
The great poet Chairil wrote in an essay that writing poetry is not just inspiration, it is hard work. He wrote:
“ Kalau diturut mereka, maka pikiran dan dasar seni atau pilsapat itu datangnya sebagai cahaya surya dari langit, memanaskan kita dan jenak itu juga matang! Akibatnya: Ange’ ange’ ciri’ ayam!"
What does “Ange’ ange’ ciri’ ayam” mean?

Exactly! Ange ange ciri ayam is the same as hangat hangat tahi ayam. Use to refer to a person who often starts something brand new but lacking the motivation in keeping his/her action up until reaching the desired outcome. For you see once chicken poop, the poop will come out sizzling hot! Fresh from the oven but not until long it will be cold and lay there just!
Example:
A:Aku mau diet ah besok.
B: Wah semangat ya dietnya. Jangan ange ange ciri ayam.
B:aku ingin belajar main piano deh
A:ngga usah lah kamu kan ange ange ciri ayam!

As I know, “Hangat Hangat Tahi Ayam” means like if you want to do something, but you just feel so excited at the first time but after for a while your excited is decreasing...

Thank you Sabiq. That does make sense. And Chairil Anwar clearly was a poet of great originality and expression.

Tbh I have to googling it bcause these word doesn't exist in dictionary. And finally I found that it is actually "Anget anget cirit ayam". Which is informal form of hangat hangat tahi ayam. I dunno what does it actually mean. Maybe just means "chicken's shit!". Just wanna help :)
