what does slap-happy mean?
I learned this word in a tv show and I looked it up in dictionary, but the meaning doesn't apply to how the word is used in the tv show. so could any native speaker tell me how you usually use this word? thanks.

I agree with Randall. I would describe someone as 'slap-happy' when they become a bit silly or even hysterical due to tiredness or being awake for too long. Have you ever had this experience?

In modern use it usually refers to someone who is so tired that they are unable to react quickly or are not alert enough to respond intelligently when asked a question.Originally it referred to someone who was dizzy or confused because of a fight or a head injury.
