Are these both ok?What time is it?It’s six five/it’s six o five.
What about ‘it’s five past six’?

Hey Heidi,
"Past" usually seems to be used with "a quarter past" and "half past" only. Like it's a quarter past six (6:15) and it's half past six (6:30). Everything else is usually just numbers. "it's 6:05" it's "6:45"
Just say "O" for 01-09, then just say the number as usual. J

There are several different ways to say time in the U.S. For example:
For 6:05 you will hear 6-oh-5, 5 after six, or 5 minutes after six
For 6:10 you will hear six-ten, ten after six, or ten minutes after six.
For 6:15 you will hear six-fifteen, quarter after six, fifteen after six, or fifteen minutes after six
For 6:40, you will hear six-forty, twenty minutes to seven, or twenty to seven.
For 6:45, you will hear six-forty-five, quarter to seven, 15 to seven, or 15 minutes to seven
Etc., etc.,

You'd have to say, '6:05' or 'five past six.' Never '6:5' :-)
