About ‘נצל’
Guys, especially for the native, I have a question regarding the root ‘נצל’.

Basic meaning of each conjugation like below,

1,נפעל
be saved

2,הפעיל
save

3,התפעל
apologize

4,פיעל
exploit, make use of

Seeing these meaning, I feel strange about 4.
‘exploit, use’does not seem to have the same base with ‘save’.

How do you think ?

השורש נצל (להציל, לנצל, להתנצל) קשור בלקיחה של משהו ממקומו. בתורה נאמר על בני ישראל: ”וַיְנַצְּלוּ אֶת מִצְרָיִם“ (שמות יב, פסוק לו), כלומר: לוקחים מהם כלים (ולא במטרה להשיב). בהמשך נכתב ”וַיִּתְנַצְּלוּ בְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֶת עֶדְיָם“ (שמות לג, פסוק ו) - כלומר: הסירו מעצמם את התכשיטים (בבניין התפעל הפעלים לרוב חוזרים אל מבצע הפעולה). הפועל 'הִצִּיל' הוא בבניין הפעיל, שהוא בניין פעיל, ומשמעותו: הסיר ממישהו את 
הסכנה, לקחו מהסכנה שבה הוא נמצא

It is correct. In hebrew the root of "to be saved" and "to make a use of" is the same. Also in hebrew the word save has two words: to save something in the pocket -  לשמור משהו בכיס (root - שמר)
to save someone - להציל מישהו (root - נצל)
you used the root of the second meaning.
