Well it has many meanings, Land Tenure is how long you can own the land, Tenure of office, is how long you can stay in that position , for example, an incumbent(current) president can hold the office of presidency for 4 years at a time. Tenure can also mean , when a professor has been teaching at the same institution for past their probationary period, usually six years, once granted tenure, you'll get a promotion, an increase in salary with more benefits, and a secured teaching career.

Tenure has two meanings:
1) a term of office. During his tenure as a dean he implemented a lot of effective strategies.
2) property rights. We should simplify our law system in terms of tenure rights cases👌🏻
