Both are about the same. But the first one is better and more colloquial.

Hello!
"Do you ski?" is correct because "ski" is the verb in the present tense.
"Do you do skiing?" is not correct - "skiing" is a gerund (a verb form of a noun ending in -ing) and a simple rule that I found is that whenever the activity ends in -ing (like "skiing") the verb used should be "go".
I hope that helps!

What's the difference between these questions?
- Do you ski? - This is a reasonable question. The normal way to ask. This usually asks about ability, whether you know how to ski or not.
- Do you do skiing? - This is not a normal use. "do" does not go with "ski".
- Do you go skiing? - ok. Suggests a ski trip, going somewhere to ski.
