A short story that has country or rural characters with some humorous topic could be called corny. Animal jokes could be corny. Jokes for children could be corny. A joke about one cow talking to another discussing milk or cheese would be a corny joke. A joke about a horse being smarter than a cow, chickens teasing a farmer, or dogs being friends with frogs could all lead to a corny joke. These jokes would NOT have sexual references or swear words.
