Well why not? :) Look at it this way: isn't it cool that you're being taught the language THIS profoundly? Not only it can become interesting in itself - IF you try - but in the end even the native speakers would perhaps be amazed to see a foreigner who knows something they may not know themselves (not that it is the main point, of course, but a pleasant bonus nevertheless, don'cha think? :) ).

Im a chinese student, i already learn English some years,I know you said this problem, but this is not our problem can be resolved to learn English from a teacher where the radical, or learn things are still as you stated, although the Chinese people to learn English and more proficient, but not many good at ..
