what's the different of solve and resolve? same or not?
please help to explaint these two in details, Thanks.

Solve may refer to:
1.Find the solution to (a problem or question) or understand the meaning of
"did you solve the problem?"
2.Find the solution
"solve an equation"; "solve for x"
3.Settle, as of a debt
"solve an old debt"
and resolve refers to:
1.Bring to an end; settle conclusively
2.Reach a conclusion after a discussion or deliberation
3.Reach a decision
"he resolved never to drink again"
4.Understand the meaning of
5.Make clearly visible
"can this image be resolved?"
6.Find the solution
7.Cause to go into a solution

- 'To resolve' is usually used when there are two different opinions or sides and they try to reach a compromise by trying to 'resolve' their differences.
That's why we say 'to resolve an issue / a dispute / a conflict / a crisis'.
- 'To solve' means 'to find a way of dealing with a problem or difficult situation'.
It also means 'to find the correct answer or explanation for something':
to solve an equation / a puzzle / a riddle
to solve a crime / mystery
