hi maram, The common term is "wo jiao (我叫)" which basically mean: "I am called...". Although the real translation is "wo de ming zi shi (我的名字是) - [my name is], I think it is rarely used in introducing yourself in chinese, unless otherwise it's very formal. :)

我的名字是maram ( wo de ming zi shi maram) or 我叫maram(wo jiao maram)
