"It's been" and "It was" What the differences between these 2 statements? It's been a long journey. It was a long journey.

Hi, basically the two sentences can have the same meaning but there is a subtle difference: "It's been a long journey." is present perfect and can mean that you have recently just arrived somewhere after a long trip. "It was a long journey." is past simple and you are talking about a finished action sometime in the past. I hope this helps.
