I've looked up the word "muntin(s)" in many dictionaries but I didn't find it. What does it mean?

I agree with Peachey. Muntins are strips of wood (or metal) which separate the panes in a window composed of several panes. Usually they are vertical and in this case they are also called "mullions". In Italian they are known as "montanti fissi di separazione".

"Muntin" è una striscia di legno (o di metallo) che separa e tiene le lastre di vetro in una finestra. Per essempio:
