"I think, therefore I am" said Descartes. In that case, must we say that dumb people don't exist?

We people , we all exist, whether we just vegetate or add some thinking to it. However not all men exist in the sense of being responsible and aware of one's situation. Some 'are not' in that sense!

If only! lol Actually, it was said by Descartes (and philosophers always make things more difficult!)..... The meaning is something like: If someone is wondering whether or not they exist, that (the thinking) is itself proof that they do exist (because there is least an "I" that is doing the thinking). EDIT: "Meow", are you saying you believe that dumb people don't exist? 'Cause, I see dumb people every day..... They definitely exist!

Do you know how Descartes died? He was in a bar, having a few drinks. The bartender said, "So, Rene - have another drink before you go?" Descartes said, "No, I think not." And disappeared.
