'Have you had any past experience communicating in English with a foreigner? How did you feel? Were you nervous or excited?'
It is natural to feel a little nervous in the beginning when you are speaking any new language. But, you should understand that the 'foreigner' knows that English is not your first language. The 'foreigner' also appreciates the fact that you are making an effort to speak another language. This is something good and to be proud about.
Do not be afraid of mistakes, just try and you will learn soon :-)

I have such an experience. At first, it was scaring, I didn't know what to say, and I was afraid to talk and to make a mistake. Then, the more I learnt languages the less I was afraid. And now while communicating with foreigners I enjoy talking to them and have no fear to make a mistake or anything else. Not to be afraid is the most important I think. If you have a possibility to speak with a foreigner, use it!
