'Blow your top' is an informal expression. It means 'to become very angry or lose your temper'.
I think Eliot did not get angry when he read your questions. There are really good dictionaries that provide definitions illustrated with examples… I think it was just an implicit suggestion to use one. This doesn't mean that you should stop posting questions that are purely related to language learning. Sharing such questions with others is really useful…

"blow your top" means to have an angry/overly excited outburst. synonyms would include: freak out, lose it, had a fit etc.

Blow = to explode. Your top = your head.
That's one way of reading it. ^^
