"Titio" is for "Tio" (uncle) what "Daddy" is for "Dad"

well the difference is: for examplo in the united kingdom the children call their mother not as mother but they call by mummy or mammy it is the same in the united states
as this expression it is the same if you call your ancle as tio or titio because titio is the same if you would say my dear ancle or dear ancle that means in my language titio

In Portugal, Titio is not used, just in Brazil, I believe.
Tio means uncle and Titio is an informal way to say the same...For example, in the shchool children might say "o meu tio é" (my uncle is)... Because it's not very apropriated to use Titio...
However if you're talking directly with your uncle ...it's always cute and reveals affect for him if you say "titio, vem cá" (uncle come here!)
The same is suitable for Tia / Titia (aunt/auntie) :D
