The last name Vuksta origin?? My grandparents last name is Vuksta. Their family moved from a city called “Perechyn” which is now in the Ukraine right on the border with Slovakia. When they immigrated to the USA in the 1920’s they spoke Czech and Polish. I am curious if anyone can help me with this name. I have been told it can be anything from Czech, Russian, or Serbian. I know “vuk” means wolf in Serbian but I don’t know if that is just a coincidence. Thank you for any help!!!
