Chinese learning software
Can anyone suggest a good DOWNLOADABLE and free Chinese-English dictionary, and a downloadable and free software which converts pinyin into chinese (with the possibility, of course, to choose the characters, much like MDBG Chinese typing program)?
Am lost in a sea of possibilities....

MDBG uses CEDICT, which can be downloaded and used offline.

If you have windows 7 just turn on the Chinese keyboard in pinyin.
