Was für ein schöner Name. ..... is better to use.
Welch ein schöner Name. ....is right too but that sounds more like poesy.
(but without "e" in welche)

Geht beides. Aber "Welch", nicht "Welche".

Entschuldige, ich habe erst jetzt deine Frage gesehen. Ja, du hast vollkommen recht.
Es sind Exklamationen. z.B. "Das der so groß geworden ist!"
