It doesn't make much sense to me. Total irrelevance! What is the point of drawing comparison between one's wife and child ?! It is like saying the worst teacher is better than a skilful basketball player !

I never heard of that statement, but literally, it is saying that it is better to be married to a bad wife than to have an obedient child. I don't agree with that philosophy at all.
