Hi, do we use "take after" to talk about only the personality or we can use it for "appearance" too?

Look like is only for appearance. Take after can be used for both appearance and character

It’s usually used in reference to personality or habits.

Take after usually means appearance although it can be personality also.
I knew who he was when I saw him. He really takes after his dad.
