On the dictionary there is a usage of “how” and it is defined as “that”
“How” and “that” is different in nuance?
For example, what do you think is different between how and that?
・he told me how he had found it on the bus.
・he told me that he had found it on the bus.
・you know how he always arrives late.
・you know that he always arrives late.

I agree with Sandra. I would add that in the first pair of sentences, the contrast between process ("how") and result ("that") is a little stronger. In the second, there's little difference in meaning, but the first ("how") feels more casual, implying a more intimate knowledge of the person or a closer relationship between the speaker, the hearer, and the person being described.

Hello hope this helps
"how" and "that" difference lies in their function and nuance in the sentence
-"how" emphasizes the process, method, or emotion behind an action or idea
-"that" highlights the resultsl, fact, or information conveyed with less attention to the process manner
Examples : I'm amazed how you completed the project so fast
( Focuses on the way the project was completed)
-I'm amazed that you completed the project so fast
(Focuses on the fact that the project is completed quickly)
