Last weekend, one of my high school friends from Sendai came to visit me in Yokohama. It had been a long time since we last met, so I was really excited to see her again. We decided to spend the whole day together and make some good memories. First, we went to a Hawaiian restaurant near the station. The atmosphere was very tropical, with palm decorations and Hawaiian music playing in the background. We ordered garlic shrimp and loco moco, and both dishes were so delicious that we couldn’t stop talking about how good they were. After lunch, we walked around the shopping mall, took some pictures, and talked about our high school days. Later in the evening, we went to karaoke. We sang both Japanese and English songs, and laughed so much that my throat started to hurt. Even though we live far apart now, it felt like nothing had changed between us. Spending time with her reminded me of how important good friends are. I was really happy to see her and I hope we can meet again soon.
