The storm raged outside, but nothing could dampen my spirits for singing class today. It was a revelation! Singing uses a completely different voice than speaking, and I finally understood how to unlock it. My teacher even surprised me by offering a spot in the upcoming Mother's Day show! Mom was ecstatic, but I can't deny the fluttering in my stomach. Performing in front of a crowd? Will I freeze on stage? I don’t know.
