Female, also there was like a TV show with the name Nikita and she was female, so that's where i learned about the existence of the name

Female, but it’s not a common name at all. The most similar one are Nicole and Nicki.

Female. Male equivalent would probably be something like Nicholas (pronounced nik-o-las) with a diminutive name of Nick.
