Looking back at the last ten years, I’ve surprisedly found out that my whole life was centred(UK) / centered(US) around my phone. As the communication technology is rapidly developing, my life changed quickly from the 2G period to the 5G era. At the very beginning, I could just scan pictures and read the news on my phone, besides this, I liked spending more time hanging out with my friends. When my phone became advanced enough to allow me to watch movies, I became addicted and I didn’t go outside with my friends on weekends anymore. I slowly became a couch potato and didn't realize that a pair of invisible hands was pulling me into a deep hole. And came the day when I clearly remembered that social media seemed to have appeared overnight and as a consequence, I didn't have the time to rationalize this phenomenon because I had become addicted to making friends with strangers and watch short videos online. Nowadays, when I meet my friends or colleagues in an elevator, I don't even need to greet them, after nodding to each other, we just look down on our phone again. Let alone relatives, I haven’t seen them for a long time. The 6G technology will be coming sooner or later but what changes will it bring? I feel a little bit scared.
