1a. Flood and guerrilla forces ravaged the area.→

2a. We must handle radiation sources with great care and by remote control.

Question: Which is grammatically correct?

They all seem correct to me. Some are more awkward than others. 2d, is pretty bad, but I think it's technically not incorrect.
