I tutored many students for years at my old school in the german language and now I am teaching german as a volunteer at french schools. That’s why I also have a lot of experience tutoring people with different mother tongues. Ich habe Jahrelang verschiedensten Schüler*innen an meiner alten Schule Deutschnachhilfe gegeben und bringe nun Kindern an französischen Schulen Deutsch bei, als Freiwilligendienst. Von den Menschen die ich bereits unterrichtet habe, hatten viele unterschiedliche Muttersprachen.

Learn German with Natural Conversations & Comprehensible Input I like to teach German through interesting conversations & dialogues. So, instead of going through grammar topics & speaking a lot of English, I will try to stick to mostly speaking German with you and I encourage you to speak and use as much German as possible as well. I might speak more slowly or explain words to you, but I will stick to German and only speak English if it's absolutely necessary. :) I am also by the way very happy to practice specific situations with you (buying a ticket at the train station, having a political discussion). As a Züri City native, I offer lessons in both Standard German (Hochdeutsch) and Swiss German (Züritüütsch), the local Zürich dialect. Depending on your goals, we can focus on Hochdeutsch or dive into authentic Züritüütsch so you can speak like a local. relaxed german conversations ich würde sagen ich bin eine geduldige Lehrerin und lasse dem Schüler Zeit in aller Ruhe die Sätze zu konstruieren.( jedenfalls hoffe ich das haha) Das grösste Problem ist, finde ich, dass Leute sich unter Druck gefühlt setzen eine Sprache in kurzer Zeit beherrschen zu müssen und schnell in selbiger Sprache antworten zu müssen. Wenn man sich weniger unter Druck gesetzt fühlt, kann man sich auch besser ausdrücken. Ausserdem versuche ich das Selbstbewusstein des Schülers in der Sprache zu stärken.

For the past 10+ years I have been working as a translator, reviser, interpreter and language teacher. I have a Bachelor and Master level professional degree in translation and interpretation. My teaching experience is about 5 years – in private, in groups up to 20 people and online. I have various experience, but personally prefer helping beginners and intermediate language users to improve their skills, especially speaking, in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. So I want to make it as fun as possible by using media and motivate students by showing them what they have achieved so far using practical examples.
