Learning a language is like traveling to a new country, and I try to make this journey interesting and comfortable for each student. I usually use the communicative method of teaching, and during lessons, we use mostly Russian. In any lesson, I motivate students to speak as much as possible and familiarize them with the traditions and culture of Russia. German teacher with around a decade of experience and about 6000 lessons with 800+ students. German obviously is my native language, and I basically have a whole life of experience speaking English at work or privately. Russian is my 3rd strongest language, and although I have no certificates confirming that, I can teach you that language up to a pretty high level, as you can see from my intro video. Besides that, I am also very interested and knowledgeable in the field of linguistics and I can help you with pronunciation and accents on a semi-professional level by applying things like the IPA, speech training and logopedic practices. Having said that, I do not specialize in teaching children and I very much recommend looking for a teacher that is experienced in that field.

For instance, the other day we studied personalities and we made a map of characters from ‘Five Feet Apart’ which is a new movie based on a book and teenagers enjoyed it a lot! So we made a visual picture similar to one on the cover of the book and put there all new personalities together with main characters from the film. My students often say that I'm very patient and systematic :) I've been teaching Russian since 2014. Although my teaching experience started a long time ago, I still find teaching a deeply creative process and a practice of being in the moment. I have a bachelor's degree in pedagogy and a good knowledge of teaching methods. I've been trained to give professional lessons in teaching Russian at Moscow state university. I always prepare my lessons in details but I can easily improvise as well! Recently I have developed and given the course on teaching Russian as a foreign language to other language teachers. It helped me even more to optimize and clarify the approach that grew out of my practice.
