Buena maestra

Hildaiza prepared me for my visit to the D.R. with materials that I would not have otherwise found, and she gave me a useful perspective that allowed me to notice and think about aspects of the history and culture while I was there that I really appreciated. This was in addition to giving me useful feedback on my speaking and passing along new vocabulary. I appreciate her high energy and enthusiasm.

Hildaiza offers a very immersive and practical learning experience. She appropriately assigns tasks that help to build your ability to not only engage in conversations in Spanish, across multiple different topics, but also takes time to give example of how language is used in formal and informal communication, situational and cultural use, and uses examples to reinforce the points being made. These lessons are collaborative, meaning that we as students need to put in the effort on our end, especially by preparing for classes. I wrote this review in English since presumably most interested persons are anglophones. However, over the last year, I have advanced from knowing very little Spanish to now writing, reading, listening and most importantly, speaking and communicating in Spanish at an intermediate level. Hildaiza is very friendly and easy to talk to. She did a great job of understanding my Spanish-learning needs and creating a plan for recurring lessons.
