Maki

I’ve been taking lessons with Maki for a while now and she’s been absolutely lovely and extremely patient. I feel like I have improved in my speaking ability quite a bit since I started taking lessons with Maki. I feel more confident to actually try even if I make many mistakes trying. Maki is highly patient even when I stutter or take a while to make the sentence. She’s also very encouraging and it makes me want to continue to try harder and improve more. At times I have days where I struggle to speak more than others for some reason but Maki simply encourages and is really patient with me. I’ve also learnt a lot with her grammar wise. She explains the grammar points in a way that is easy to understand. Some grammar structures that I used to struggle with have been made so much clearer by Maki’s explanations as well a the speaking practices. I’m very grateful to have found such a lovely tutor and well worth the money :)))

I really enjoy Maki's lessons. I learn a lot, and the relaxed atmosphere makes me feel more confident to speak even if I make mistakes. Maki is a patient and flexible teacher who matches the lesson content to your learning and interests. I am very much looking forward to my next lesson!

I have been able to talk about more and more complex topics in Japanese with Maki-san, and she is very helpful in getting me to the next level gradually.

I think I'm slowly improving with my speaking and listening abilities. Maki also listens to my requests and started giving me kanji practice too (which I didn't know the Genki textbook also had until know as it's at the end of the book). She is very open and kind and corrects my mistakes after I spoke and not in the middle of it, which I appreciate. まき、ありがとうございました。
