I teach English as a Second/New Language (ESL). I have a master's degree in education with a focus in TESOL, from Hunter College-CUNY. I have been tutoring in English for sixteen years, and I am also certified by New York State to teach ESL.Mis clases y método de enseñanza
I teach every aspect of English, based on students' needs. When it comes to grammar, I go over the rules involved, and I give my students various exercises to test their knowledge. In regards to vocabulary, I discuss not only dictionary denotations, but also connotation, so that students learn how to use new words properly. I also give ample sentence examples for each word, and have students create their own, for reinforcement. As an expert in my field, I am well versed in grammatical nomenclature, and am always ready to answer my students' questions in that regard. In addition to helping students build their language skills, I provide them with constant encouragement along the way.Mi material didáctico
