Alicia's teaching style delights and challenges. She comes to each lesson with "un tema", something topical or based on a previous conversation. She approaches lessons conversationally, asking questions suited to my level and vocabulary. We often veer off from the theme into a genuine conversation as Alicia notes new words and phrases and my errors which she shares after the lesson ends. Over the past few years, I have worked with at least a dozen teachers online on various platforms and have stuck with Alicia. Her willingness to share her culture, her knowledge of Spanish and ability to research, her friendly and personalized manner, and her irrepressible curiosity make me look forward to our sessions and push me to improve.

I highly recommend Alicia as a Spanish teacher. She is super organized and her teaching style is exceptional. Alicia ensures that learning the language is a fun and interactive experience. Her lessons are always engaging, creating a lively atmosphere that makes the learning process enjoyable. Alicia's pedagogical skills are awsome. She teaches just the vocabulary you need to expand your level and explains in a simple and comprehensible manner. Also she creates a supportive environment that boosts confidence in language learning.

Alicia is always very professional and always willing to go the distance to explain our sessions further. No surprise that I continue to book sessions with her also.

I have been taking lessons with Alicia for about a year now. I am studying Spanish for fun/my own fulfillment/to open my mind via connecting to cultures other than my own, rather than the other common reasons of having family who speak it or for professional reasons. So I was drawn to her approach of learning via conversations about relevant current issues, and a year later am impressed that she has never failed to facilitate a lesson with interesting themes that felt natural to talk about even when I was just starting and had much less vocabulary and ability to speak. She is also never impatient when my lesson comes during a long week where my brain is molasses and it feels like I've forgotten half of everything I've learned. I'm sure this approach is great for people with other goals as well, because being challenged to develop my thoughts on a new subject in Spanish stresses parts of my brain exercises do not, and shows me which things I don't understand as well as I thought

Alicia is an amazing teacher! She is always exceptionally well-prepared, and her exercises and activities are clear and very interesting. She caters lessons to your interest but always has a direction and goal in mind for each class. she's very attuned to your abilities as a student. I've been taking lessons from Alicia for about 8 months and I have seen a drastic improvement in my Spanish. and I plan to continue taking lessons from her. highly recommend!

Alicia is the bomb for teaching Español! When I don't have something prepared to talk about as in a topic, she always comes through with a topic to discuss and make sure to note down the new vocabulary that I learn/make mistakes on. She's so friendly, patient, and gives great contextual clues to challenge you to understand what a word means if you don't know it. Of course, she'll answer any question you have about grammar, vocab, or Español in general and also help you learn by asking you questions to utilize the new information. I highly recommend her for anybody learning Español, especially beginners. I've been taking her lessons for ~1 year now and I can honestly say she's always been one of the pillars for helping me retain and grow my Spanish. One of the best Spanish teachers on this platform no doubt.
