Candace is the best. She loves language, and she really knows so much about the history of Mandarin as well as how it relates to English. I don't want to learn from anyone else.

Candice is a really well prepared teacher and a lovely lovely loooovely person. Her lessons are challenging, but still have a chatty, conversational feel. For me, this is the perfect balance! I always learn new words, and always improve, but in a really fun and stress-free way. If you want to expand your Chinese vocabulary (she even prepares topics for me!) and push for genuine fluency, I think Candice is an awesome choice! :)

Candice is incredible. I've been studying 中文 for three years (one by myself and two with another teacher), but this lesson further solidified that I'm on the right track with my progress as well as with choosing Candice as a teacher. She is affirming, kind, and encouraging. The way she taught me tonight helped me to reflect on my learning, specifically relating to tones, in a way that I had never even thought of before. Her teaching includes using text-based materials and communication to connect and assess your level of understanding and comprehension. I'm seriously impressed with the confidence I've gained in just one lesson with her, and I'm eager to learn more from her. I cannot recommend her enough.

Best Chinese teacher on Italki! If you're looking for a teacher who encourages you to talk lots and provides short appropriate feedback when necessary, then Candice is exactly the teacher you're looking for :)

I learnt with Candice in 2020-2021. I decided to continue my classes again with her. Once again, I feel so happy to be in class with her. She is very eloquent and resourceful. She knows how to guide students accordingly. Thank you for making me fall in love with Chinese, Candice. 你真棒!
