This was my fourth lesson with Lucas. He outlined the steps for German intensive reading and immersion, which I’ll immediately put into practice in my reading. At the same time, I learned useful sentence constructions, important grammar rules and new vocabulary.

It was an excellent 9th class with Lucas. We did many practical exercises in both German conversation and reading.

Lucas is a really patient, friendly guy with lots of great advice for learning languages. I am new to speaking German in conversation, but Lucas was able to bring me out of my shell and help me practice in a laid back manner, providing corrections in a useful, non-obtrusive way. He also has lots of interesting life experience from his travels which he was happy to share. Thank you Lucas!

After ten lessons, I am pleased to be at a basic A2 level of German. Never imagined I would achieve this. I appreciate deeply Lucas' patient, friendly and encouraging teaching style and look forward to speaking German in Cologne this week, and see where it goes from there.

This was my seventh lesson with Lucas and one of our best classes so far. I can now read paragraphs, which feels like real progress. Lucas said something memorable today: there is no such thing as a hard language; success depends on how much effort you are willing to put in.
