¡Hola, soy Billy-Mai, también conocida como Shams (la palabra árabe para «sol»)!
Soy escritora profesional y especialista en comunicación, además de profesora con amplia experiencia, mentora y coach de desarrollo personal. ¡Me encantan los perros, la música, pasar tiempo en la naturaleza y mantener conversaciones profundas!
Soy el profesor perfecto para ti si buscas clases centradas en debates a nivel nativo, especialmente en torno a la salud mental, el bienestar holístico y la espiritualidad.
Ofrezco clases y talleres de escritura creativa para niños y adultos que se sientan inspirados para escribir cualquier proyecto creativo que implique la redacción y la creación de contenidos (por ejemplo, memorias, etc.).Mostrar idioma original
Yo como profesor
Empecé a enseñar inglés, literatura y teatro a niños cuando tenía 15 años. Gané un premio nacional al voluntariado por mi dedicación y entusiasmo como joven asistente de enseñanza. A los 18 años, me mudé a Londres para ir a la universidad y trabajé como tutora privada para niños y enseñé inglés como segunda lengua a grupos de adultos. Obtuve una licenciatura con matrícula de honor en Medios y Comunicación con Escritura Creativa a los 24 años, y poco después obtuve la certificación TESOL.
Desde entonces, desarrollé mis habilidades terapéuticas y comencé a guiar a clientes a través del autodesarrollo y el crecimiento holístico. Mi objetivo es ser coach de salud mental y bienestar desde la perspectiva de la psicología espiritual. Actualmente, estoy cursando un máster en Conciencia y Psicología Transpersonal. Ofrezco 3 tipos de clases:
1. Práctica de inglés conversacional:
Discutiendo cualquier tema, de vez en cuando haré una pausa en la conversación para ayudarte a entender cómo usar la gramática, las palabras y la pronunciación correctas, y te presentaré nuevo vocabulario y frases.
2. Talleres de escritura creativa:
Trabajamos para mejorar tus habilidades de escritura y desarrollar tu voz escrita y tu personalidad. Perfecto para redacciones escolares o preparación de exámenes, poesía, prosa y guiones, correos electrónicos e informes empresariales, etc.
3. Sesiones de autodesarrollo:
Con apoyo emocional y orientación para desarrollar tu autoconocimiento, estas sesiones te ayudarán a cambiar tu mentalidad y perspectiva para mejorar tu salud mental y bienestar integral.Mi material didáctico

Licenciatura/Grado - Media and Communication with Creative WritingModules included: TV production, Screenwriting and Innovations in Poetry and Prose. Through research-based creative projects, I tailored my studies towards my own interests, producing several creations including: a podcast, a documentary, a 64 page poetry portfolio, and invented the first ever audio-written emotive reading experience. I was also the Project Manager for a WIP symposium attended by over 100 individuals.

2015 - 2017
English Tutor and Proofreader- Private tutor specialising in English Language, Literature and Drama.
- KS1 to GCSE and A Level (ages 4 – 18).
- Taught one-to-one classes as well as large groups, differentiating between
specific personal guidance, and conducting myself in a way that was
comprehensible for children of multiple levels.
- Orchestrated conversation classes with mature ESL students, gaining
experience with teaching English as a foreign language to adults.

2016 - 2020
Assistant Director and Children's Chaperone- Working for multiple production companies, creating content for platforms
including: Netflix, Sky One, Amazon Prime, BBC, ITV and Film 4.
- Crowd director, experienced in communicating direction to children and
adults clearly and effectively.
- Experienced as a chaperone on film locations, responsible for child actors’
well-being, performance times and treatment on set.
- Experienced as a theatre chaperone, keeping the children hydrated, focused,
quiet and happy, backstage.
2012 - 2013
Volunteer Teaching Assistant- Helped year 11 English students achieve their maximum potential in their coursework and IGCSEs. This taught me how to maintain focus with interruptions, as well as how to successfully motivate others whilst being friendly and remaining patient.
- Helped run drama workshops for 7 to 8 year olds visiting the school.
- Assistant director/acting coach for the school’s rendition of The Wizard of Oz.
- Proceeded to win a Diana Champion Volunteer Award for this effort two years later.
